OpenAI and Google have used the data generated by Reddit over the years to train their respective AIs, now Reddit wants its share of the profits.

Closing access to the API may mean doing something like Elon Musk’s move on Twitter, although to avoid complaints what Reddit will do is offer the API free to developers and only charge when large companies want access to it.
